A brief outline of the how the programme runs is given below

(1) A group of parents is invited to take part . Parents are introduced to over coffee when the programme is explained to them in an informal atmosphere . They are asked to commit themselves to playing with their child for 15 minutes every day (5/6 days) for 6 to 8 weeks.

(2) Each week the children with the help of their parents choose a game which they play during the coming week
		(3) Parents keep a Daily Diary with their comments on the game and how much time they spent playing with their child. The diary includes a page for the child to indicate his/her feelings about the game . The child records his/her feelings about the game once at the end of the week

(4) Each week, the parents meet as a group with a member of staff for discussion/feedback of what happened with their child when playing the game.
